Note for assessors

Dear Assessors,

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate my work.

My blog has been laid out in the following way-

This blog contains all my supporting evidence for my Context and Narrative course with the OCA. Under the menu section I have included;

  • Assignments one to five -submenus include rework and tutors reports
  • Exercises for assignments marked one to five
  • Relevant research (please see note below)
  • Exhibitions visited

Submitted box for assessment contains;

  • A book for assignment 1 and 2/ Prints for assignment 1, 2, 3 and 5
  • A critical essay for assignment 4
  • All tutor reports and comments
  •  There will also be an additional paper journal accompanying my submission. Any other photographer’s images used in this blog are accredited, and they are used for reference and educational purposes only

Please note :: I would like to point out since finishing this course I have had my learning difficulties assessed with the Helen Arknell Institute. The college advised me to do so as I was struggling with the degree. I feel this information is relevant as I have been officially diagnosed with Dyslexia. Studying Context and Narrative has really highlighted problems I am having academically, in particular reading. The OCA are helping me with this in order to move forward and I have recently applied for DSA in the hope this will assist me with my further studies.

Thank you

Jayne Kemp

“When the novice photographer starts taking pictures, he carries his camera about and shoots everything that interests him. There comes a time when he must crystallize his ideas and set off in an particular direction.”  – Alexey Brodovitch
